Camino's short-term ministries are designed to provide exposure to other cultures and needs, allowing you to EMERGE beyond your limits and see where you might fit if God were to lead you to pursue longer term ministry down the road. Opportunities for meaningful ministry and outreach are built in to short-term experiences.
Ministry teams of various sizes spend anywhere from one to three weeks making a difference. EMERGE summer Internships of 4, 6 and 8 weeks go deeper, and academic credit is often available.

What are people saying about EMERGE Summers?
Every day felt like an accomplishment after a good day's work of laying floors and building roofs alongside the local Hondurans and fellow brothers in Christ. It has shaped me into the man I am today: a humble servant for Christ. Kevin - Honduras
The thing that stands out in my mind the most from my trip is that God is in control and His plans are far better than my own. Kathryn - Honduras
I grew so much closer to God and really made some lifelong relationships. Following God's will and taking a step to go on such a long missions trip was hard at first, but it was really cool to see how everything does really work together for the good of His kingdom. Marissa - Guatemala
God showed me that his plans aren't always my plans and that His plans are always better. God's plans resulted in making life long friends and having a bigger impact than I ever imagined. Brittany - Honduras
At the end of the EMERGE internship on the field, interns attend NEXT STEP, a post-trip debrief weekend in Dallas. Here is what internship alumni are saying about Next Step:
Loved the time talking about how to process our trips and really make the most of that.” Lauren – Guatemala
Grupito (small group) time was very helpful to me. I felt like I was able to process some things outloud and our leader’s perspectives…were very helpful.
Group time was fantastic….it was one of the best parts. It was helpful, fun and interactive.
Everyone there was going through very similar feelings. It was very encouraging.
…loved spending time with fellow missionaries and making more global connections.
[Next Step] was very helpful in helping me process the experiences.
Our group times were very helpful. They definitely helped me process the trip and think about the impact the trip had on me.
I liked hearing about the feelings everyone else was feeling and how similar they were [to mine].
